How It Works: Andiroba Oil, Catambra Extract and Supporting Ingredients

The Nature Anti-Parasite Formula works through the repellent properties of plant-based oils and extracts. Rather than killing pests, the active ingredients alter the animal's natural scent so that ticks, fleas and mites no longer recognise it as a suitable host. Andiroba Oil from the Amazon

Andiroba oil is extracted from the seeds of the andiroba tree (Carapa guianensis), native to the Amazon region. Indigenous peoples of South America have traditionally used this oil to repel insects. Andiroba oil contains limonoids and other bioactive compounds with a repellent effect on insects and arachnids.

Catambra Extract

Catambra is a cultivar of the plant Catalpa bungei, known for its high content of catalpol. These secondary plant compounds act as a deterrent to pests such as ticks and mosquitoes. In the Nature formula, catambra extract complements the effect of andiroba oil.

Supporting Plant-Based Ingredients

Manuka oil from the South Sea myrtle contributes to the repellent effect through its triketones. Walnut leaf extract provides tannins with repellent properties. Yeast extract and thiamine (vitamin B1) support the scent alteration on the animal. Additional support comes from clove bud oil, basil oil, eugenol, limonene and linalool, which are commonly used essential oils in plant-based anti-parasite sprays.

Use Against Ticks, Fleas and Mites

The Nature formula is designed as a plant-based parasite spray for pets, targeting the most common pests in dogs and cats.

Ticks

Ticks are active in Germany from spring to autumn. They sit in grass and bushes, waiting for a host. Applied before going outdoors, the spray can help ensure that ticks no longer recognise your dog or cat as a suitable host.

Fleas

Fleas lay their eggs in the animal's surroundings: in bedding, carpets and upholstered furniture. Plant-based sprays are used preventively and can reduce flea infestations when applied consistently.

Mites

Harvest mites are most common in late summer and autumn, targeting thin-skinned areas on the paws, belly and ears. Applied before going outdoors, the spray can reduce contact with mite larvae. If there is a heavier mite infestation, it is best to have this checked by a vet.

Application guide

How to Apply the Nature Formula

Spray your pet every two to three days. Shake the bottle well before use. Apply the spray particularly to the belly, legs and neck area, as these spots are most accessible to pests.

For animals that do not like being sprayed directly, indirect application works well: spray a few pumps onto the palm of your hand or a cloth and rub into the coat against the direction of the fur. This way you can also reach sensitive areas such as the face or paws.

After bathing, reapply, as water washes plant-based active ingredients off the coat.
